Loch Ordie et al

What a great ride. Thanks to Tom for organising, navigating and feeding us all (those apricots were very good). Thanks to all for great company and accomodating my technical inability and fat barstewardness on the climbs. I’m bloody stiff now and have cramp in muscles I didn’t know I had. Excellent.

A mini bivi adventure

Well summer is nearly half way done (officially anyway) and it was time to put my newly bought bivi gear to work. So with my spanking new Hunka Bivi bag, Pocket Rocket stove, Titanium mug, and a load of other gear I’ve had gathering dust for years, I set off last night for Loch Ordie.
The midges were dealt with by Avon Skin-so-soft, and a good nights sleep was had. Bloody briliant - I can’t wait for the next half decent evening to do it again.

What a beautiful day for a ride. With the temperature hovering around freezing and the sky clear it would have been rude to head for the wooded single track. So we went out up to Loch Ordie. You can’t beat a couple of hours in the sun.
