Cold and wet, but no ice - which was nice. A 30k jaunt from home over Birnam Hill to the Hermitage. Down by the side of the River Tay, lunch at the Birnam Institute and then home - luvverly.
And I’m almost getting the hang of my new camera.

I was lucky enough to get out for another couple of hours today so I headed for unchartered territory for me. I headed north out of Dunkeld past Mill Dam and up to Loch Ordie. It was a cold damp overcast day which was fine except for the ice on the climb up the side of Deuchary Hill. The next time I do this route I will reverse the direction and make use of the landrover track up the west side before descending the single track to end up on the east side of Mill Dam.

Merry Christmas

and a peaceful and prosperous New Year to you all.
We started the festive season in earnest today with a single speed jaunt from our own back door. The cold cloudy skies of the past few days have given way to glimpses blue. It was my chance to try out my new camera and a new fangled method of automatically locating them on a map. Check out the map with geotagged pictures on Flickr here.
All the best for 2008
